Following her career as a classical ballet dancer with the Joffrey Ballet, Maggie completed the prestigious L’art de la Pâtisserie program at the French Pastry School. Together with her sister Jess, she launched Maggie Austin Cake in 2010. From President Obama’s White House Christmas celebrations to Hollywood parties to royal weddings, she is honored to work with illustrious clients all over the globe. Her book, Maggie Austin Cake: Artistry and Technique, was published in 2017. Maggie began creating clay and steel sculptures with her husband Robert in 2020 as an extension of her passion for the creative process.
Robert Lusk
Robert Lusk is a mixed media designer and craftsman. Using metals, wood, and graphic elements, his work ranges from one-of-a-kind handcrafted signs to large-scale steel installations to custom furniture pieces. Robert is also a gold leaf artist, skilled in the traditional methods of gilding on glass, metal and antique woodwork. His collaboration with his wife Maggie Austin blends refined, modern structure with classical artistry.
